Spotify has come a long way since its inception in 2008. With an ever-growing base of 75 million active users and a music catalog of over 30 million songs, the service has slowly but surely defined itself as the unthreatened leader in the streaming music industry.

In 2015, Animal teamed up with Spotify to reinforce power on the digital and social side of things. First up was Year in Music, the site that breaks down your personal listening habits into some beautiful, shiny infographics. The project launched in 2013 and was completely redesigned for the new version with the aim to reach a much wider audience, even outside digital media.

Animal created what would become the largest campaign to date for Spotify in the Nordics. From billboards in selected locations to digital screens and online placements, we highlighted the core of what makes Spotify so great – their own employees. Eight people working in the Stockholm Headquarters were portrayed in a series of executions, all showing unique stats from their year in music.
